Support Role: The conductor is a crucial figure in the Amoeba framework, though they don’t "play" a specific role in developing the solutions. Like an orchestra conductor who ensures all musicians play in harmony, the conductor makes sure that the amoeba runs smoothly. Coordinator, Not Owner: The conductor helps connect the right hosts to their roles, ensures each amoeba session is on track, and provides the necessary support to ensure progress is being made. They have no stake or ownershipin the initiative—they are purely there to keep things moving and support the process.
Setting Up Hosts: The conductor is responsible for finding and assigning hosts to run specific amoebas, ensuring that each amoeba has the right people to guide its progress.
The Host
Event Manager: Each amoeba event or session is led by a host, who acts like a producer to make sure the event happens smoothly. The host is responsible for:
Organizing the event, whether it's physical or digital. Ensuring there's a space for the event. Deciding how glimmers are gathered, what activities will be done, and the flow of the session. Securing sponsors, if necessary, to fund the amoeba or its activities. In Charge of Execution: While the conductor ensures the process works well across amoebas, the host is hands-on in executing the event and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
